We wanted to democratize storytelling by building an AI-powered platform that could generate complete, engaging stories with both text and visuals.

My Approach

We built a story engine powered by the most advanced text and image generation models. Using Temporal, we created workflows that matched the typical process an author takes to create a book—from initial concept to final publication. The key was making AI collaboration feel natural while maintaining creative control.

The Solution

Our system orchestrates complex multi-step workflows: story planning, chapter generation, character development, and visual creation. The frontend seamlessly displays the async work of background agents, showing real-time progress as stories come to life. We built both mobile and web applications with integrated voice models that read stories aloud, creating an immersive reading experience.
